Waiting lists are much better than PCMHT and they are there when adults need it most
Platform For Life is a Chester-based charity providing free and confidential support services to individuals across different age groups, including children, teenagers, parents, carers, and professionals. Their services cover various aspects of mental health support, focusing on helping those from low-income backgrounds in the Blacon, Lache, and Kingsway areas.
For professionals, Platform For Life offers a referral pathway to provide their clients with emotional support through services like counselling, art therapy, play therapy, and group support, along with professional training and supervision.
Parents and carers can access tailored support for themselves or their children, including counselling and family support, designed to help manage emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and practical needs.
Children under 12, as well as young people aged 13-17, can receive one-on-one counselling or therapy in a safe environment, either by self-referral or through a trusted adult. The charity offers a compassionate space to help young people address anxiety, school issues, relationships, and other mental health concerns.
Adults can also benefit from the support services offered, including counselling and group sessions aimed at fostering long-term healing and helping individuals cope with anxiety, depression, and other life challenges.
