I have felt a lot calmer and not been as angry since counselling. Both my mum and college tutors have noticed that.
How can we help?
Are you working with a parent/carer, adult, child or young person who you feel would benefit from additional emotional support that you or your service is unable to provide?
Platform For Life is a Chester based charity providing a free and confidential support service. Our Services include Counselling, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Parent Support, Family Support Worker and Group support for the individuals you refer. In addition, we can also offer professional assessments, reflective practice sessions, supervision and training for you and your team (charges for our tailored professional support services will apply).
Our team is equipped to support children, young people, families, couples and adults from all backgrounds and experiences. We work in the Blacon, Lache and Kingsway areas of Chester offering mental health support primarily to those from a low-income background.
Our clinical team can help professionals make sense of complex situations and feelings when working with emotional and mental health vulnerability. Our focus is on building confidence and understanding and using good communication to support clients with both moderate and complex needs.
Who can refer into our service?
If you work with children, young people, parents/carers or adults from families living, attending school/college, or who are registered with a GP Practice in the Blacon, Lache or Kingsway areas of Chester, who are struggling financially or on low income, and need additional mental health support not provided by your organisation, then you can refer your client/service user in to Platform For Life for support.
