Wellbeing Drop-In Volunteer Opportunity

Role title: Family Support Drop-in Volunteer

Team: Family Support Team

Supported by: Client Coordinator & Volunteer Manager and working alongside our Family Support Worker

Commitment: 2-3 hours per week to support drop in (Day and time to be confirmed)

DBS: Enhanced DBS check required, provided by Platform for Life.

Do you consider yourself to be a friendly, warm, welcoming, empathetic person? Are you a good listener? Do you make a good cup of tea? Are you passionate about helping to improve mental health support for families struggling in the Chester area?

We are looking for two volunteers to join our friendly Family Support Team, working with our Family Support Worker to facilitate our Wellbeing drop-in. This role will involve attending our weekly wellbeing drop-in, assisting with making hot drinks and providing a listening ear to people who attend.
If you feel you have the professional and/or lived experience of family life, and/or mental health difficulties, along with the passion to provide support with our vital weekly wellbeing drop-in, and would like to apply for this volunteering role, please follow the instructions on the website.

Our next volunteer induction will take place on Tuesday 21st January 2025 at our head office, at the Parade Enterprise Centre, Blacon. As we only carry out volunteer inductions 4 times each year, before applying for this volunteering opportunity, please make sure you are available to attend in person on the induction date.

Our Family Support Volunteers can expect to be a part of a positive and proactive team, working with and being supported by our Volunteer Manager and Family Support Worker. They will attend a full induction to Platform for Life and will be provided with appropriate training.
